Q: How does xxxmarketplace.net collect seller fees?

A: Listing Fees:

• Insertion fee: 25 cents per item on auction and fixed-price good until canceled listings. 
• Auctions automatically relist 5 times unless sold. After the 5th auction is done it will be listed as a fixed priced listing, but sellers have the option to start autions on it again. We reccomend lowering the price after the 5th week.       
• Final Value Fees: The final value fee is 13.25% on all items. This is a pretty standard price for most reselling websites unless they do not process payments, which makes it so the seller would have to pay for this separately and makes it a huge time suck for the buyers and sellers. Much of this fee goes towards the cost of processing payments and running the website.

Payment of fees: All insertion fees for both auction and fixed-price listings are charged when sold. Sellers must have banking information saved in their accounts. XXXMarketplace.net will automatically send payments to the seller minus seller fees. 

Q: How can sellers list items for sale?

A: Follow the tutorial below.

1) Navigate to the "Seller Login & Registration" page in the header drop down menu and login to your account.

2) In the "Products" drop down menu click "Product Listing"

3) Click the "Add Product" button.

4) Upload the photos of your product ***(It is required that the first photo is of the entire front of the item)*** You can even add an .mp4 video to the listing if you'd like. It just has to be under 5MB in size.

5) ***This step is required, do not skip*** Enter in the product name, product type, description including item condition, shipping information specific to your store, your return policy and optionally keywords to help customers find your products easier. Below is an example of how that could look. Feel free to copy and paste this to use in your store.

Condition

Used. Fair to good condition. The entire issue is slightly bent. The cover has kinks, scratches, scuffs and bends. The pages are kinked and bent. The spine is worn. See photos.

Shipping

All orders ship from Portland, Oregon in the United States. If you order $100+ domestic shipping is free! A free randomly drawn magazine will be added for every $100 spent after this, i.e. spend $200 get 1 free magazine, spend $300 get 2 free magazines, etc.

Return Policy

All sales are final. There are no returns or refunds unless an item arrives in a condition significantly different from what is described. Please message me directly if there are any issues with your order. I aim to keep my customers satisfied with their orders.

5) ***This step is required, do not skip***  Next add every item to the "all items" collection under where you upload the photos for the item, then they will be automatically categorized based on the titles and tags used in the listings.

For example the title of the listing shown above would automatically add this magazine to the "Teen (18+)" category and the "Magazines" category. I have also added the product tags "Magazines", "Straight" and "Teens" to guarantee it appears in the proper categories. Please do not add tags for items unless it is the focus of that item.

6) Click the "Save" button before continuing on to the next step.

7) ***This step is required, do not skip*** Next click the 3 dots under "Action" in the "Variant Details" box. 

8) ***This step is required, do not skip*** Here you will need to add the price and quantity of the item. You can also add inventory details such as SKUs, barcodes, inventory tracking and the quantity of items available. ***The quantity available should be at least 1 for the item to show up in the store.***

9)  ***This step is required, do not skip*** In the "Inventory Details" box click the "Track Inventory" dropdown and select "Track This Product's Inventory". Enter in at least "1". If it is set to "0" customers will not be able to purchase your item.

10) ***This step is required, do not skip*** You'll also need to add the shipping details on this page, such as the weight, dimensions, country of origin and HSN code which is required by customs for international shipments. The girth of a package can be calculated by adding up the length of the 2 longest sides of your package and multiplying it by 2. HSN codes can easily be found by typing in the type of product you're listing in the "Choose HSN Code" bar. It will automatically drop down some options for you to choose from.

11) Click "Save Changes" and then you can go back and double check the listing, create a new listing or duplicate the listing to list a similar item.

Q: How can sellers list similar items?

A: Listing similar items is a great way to listing items quicker. To do so follow the tutorial below.

1) If you'd like to list a similar item got to the edit product page for an item you'd like to duplicate a listing for.

2) Under the "More Action" drop down click "Duplicate".

3) In the box that pops up enter in the name of the new item and unclick the "Duplicate Product Images" button unless you want the same images for this new item.

4) Next update the description, add the new photos and change the variant details as needed. using the steps above in the "How To List Items" section. You will need to enter in a new HSN code every time you duplicate a product.

Q: How can sellers create auctions for their products?

A: Follow the steps below.

1) Create your listing using the directions above.

2) Find the product on your product listing page and click the 3 dots next to it.

3) Click "Create Auction".

4) Click "Add Auction"

5) Set the auction duration. We recommend 7 days.

6) Set the base price and reserve price.

7) Set the bidding increment rules. We recommend the settings pictured below.

8) Click "Add Rule"

9) You can enable proxy bidding (automatic bidding) if you'd like where customers can set an amount they'd be willing to bid the price up to automatically.

10) You can also enable popcorn bidding if you'd like which will prevent bid sniping which is where people wait until the last few seconds of an auction to bid up the price. For example a seller can set the auction to extend by 1 more minute if a bid is placed in the last minute of the auction. We recommend the setting pictured below.

11) Lastly hit "Save & Start"

Q: How can sellers ship their orders on xxxmarketplace.net?

A: We plan on having an integrated shipping system to make it easy for sellers in the near future. For now we recommend using pirateship.com to buy all your shipping labels. It's free to sign up and gives you extreme shipping discounts with all the major carriers, up to %88 percent off. 

Q: How can sellers fulfill orders on xxxmarketplace.net?

A: Please follow the directions in this tutorial to fulfill your orders.

1) Navigate to the "Seller Login & Registration" page in the header drop down menu and login to your account.

2) On your seller dashboard navigate to "Orders" -> "Orders Listing"

3) Click the 3 dots to the right of the order you want to fulfill then "View".

4) Next print either an invoice or packing slip by clicking "Action" -> "Generate Customer Invoice" or "Packaging Slip Invoice". This is required by shipping providers incase something happens to the label on the outside of the package, they can open it up and look at the shipping address on the packing slip. 

5) Next click "Print"

6) In the printing dialog adjust the scale to fit your paper size. In this case I'm printing it on a 4"x6" thermal label, so I needed to adjust it to 45% to fit the page.

7) Print the invoice or packing slip and add it inside your package.

8) Next copy and paste the shipping address provided by the buyer to your shipping provider, not the billing address. We recommend using pirateship.com for shipping.

9) Once you have printed your shipping label and stuck it on your package copy the tracking number.

10) Click the "Proceed To Fulfill Order" button.

11) Click fulfill now.

12) Paste the tracking number and enter the shipping method used i.e. UPS, USPS, etc, then click "Fulfill items" and you're done! The buyer will automatically receive and email letting them know that their order has been fulfilled with the tracking info.

Q: How do auctions work on xxxmarketplace.net?

A: Customers who win auctions will have 3 days to pay for their items. If they fail to pay in this time period the item will go to the next highest bidder. If there are no other bids on the item it will be relisted.

In order to prevent bid sniping where people wait until the last few seconds of an auction to bid up the price sellers have the option to enable popcorn bidding where you can set the auction time to extend if bids are placed at the very end. For example a seller can set the auction to extend by 1 more minute if a bid is placed in the last minute of the auction. 

If a customer repeatedly fails to pay for auctioned items they will be banned from the website. Please notify admin by emailing us at [email protected] to request that a customer be banned from the site.

Q: How is sales tax collected and distributed on xxxmarketplace.net?

A: All taxes charged go directly to the seller's connected bank account. This means the sellers are responsible for submitting their sales tax to the government.
